A boost in temperatures despite the lack of sunshine
The weather was relatively pleasant over the weekend with just a few storms rolling in Sunday evening. Temperatures over the weekend were pretty close to average if not below it. But that changes on Monday with highs hovering around 90 for most of our local area. Dew points will also be very high with peak humidity on Monday reaching into the tropical category. The humidity will drop a little Tuesday and Wednesday into the lower 60s but you will still notice it here and there.
The combination of the heat and humidity will push feels like temps into the middle and upper 90s by Monday afternoon. It's not enough for a heat advisory to be issued but certainly hot enough where you will be sweating most of the day.
The heat and humidity will give way to another chance for storms. We're currently watching an area of rain and storms in Iowa moving east. Most of this activity will dissipate or move south before it reaches our local area but a brief shower or storm can't be ruled out in southern areas. A slightly better chance for isolated storms will roll in Monday evening. Widespread severe weather is not expected but a few stronger storms with gusty wind, small hail and downpours is possible. Most of southeast Wisconsin is in the Level 1 Marginal Risk for severe weather.
