Bucks-affiliate Wisconsin Herd raising funds for Oshkosh Kids Foundation with student art jerseys

OSHKOSH, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Wisconsin Herd, NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, is partnering with BMO to raise money for the Oshkosh Kids Foundation by featuring the artwork of five local students on one-of-a-kind jerseys.

The Oshkosh Kids Foundation aims to help children and struggling families achieve stable housing, economic security, educational focus and post-secondary transition to self-sufficient lives. Proceeds from the jersey auction will go towards advancing their efforts.

Over 2,600 students from over 25 schools submitted artwork depicting what the Wisconsin Herd meant to them. A panel of team members and BMO staff selected five winners from Oakwood Elementary, Xavier High School, Omro Elementary, Perry Tipler Middle School and Carl Traeger Elementary.

These students will receive personalized jerseys and will be acknowledged at the game on Monday, March 13.

The special fundraiser jerseys will be worn by the team during the game on March 13 against the Memphis Hustle. Tickets for the game can be purchased on wisconsinherd.com or by calling (920) 233-HERD.

Fans will be able to bid on the jerseys online at herdart.givesmart.com or in person at the game. The auction will be open until Friday, March 17 at noon.
