MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Bucks are getting a head start on Thanksgiving.
The team partnered with Levy to hand out meals to Milwaukee firefighters Wednesday afternoon.
People from 29 firehouses were at Fiserv Forum to get their turkey dinners to take back to their stations.
It's an act of kindness that goes a long way for a group that's always ready to spring into action every day, even holidays.
"People that are working today aren't going to be able to go home on Thanksgiving, because we need our firehouses filled," said Assistant Fire Chief Schuyler Belott.
More than 500 pounds of turkey was sent out to firehouses Wednesday.
Meals also included gravy, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, roasted veggies, stuffing, cranberry sauce and pies.
