WEST ALLIS Wis. (CBS 58) – West Allis Police say a car was hit by a train after it was involved in a chase with New Berlin officers early Thursday morning.
The crash happened near S. 56th St. and W. Mobile St. around 1:19 a.m. Authorities say when they arrived at the scene, they could not find any victims or occupants of the vehicle. They believe at the time the of the crash, no one was in the car. No one from the train or railroad were hurt.
Police say the car was involved in a pursuit around 12:20 a.m. Authorities believe the car crashed around 12:27 a.m. and police lost sight of the vehicle.
West Allis police say the car was not being pursued by law enforcement at the time of the crash involving the train. The incident remains under investigation.

NEW BERLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) – New Berlin Police say a car crashed into a train after it was involved in a chase with officers early Thursday morning.
The crash happened near 55th St. and Mobile St.
The train was stopped at the intersection for several hours and the car was in a nearby ditch. The tracks have been cleared. There's no word on possible injuries at this time.
