MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Local political and union leaders gathered for Milwaukee's stop on the Care Can't Wait bus tour.
The traveling coalition aims to bring awareness to the financial struggles of anyone who takes care of people. That includes child care and aging and disability care.
Local union leaders say it's hard to take care of someone while also working to pay bills, whether they have benefits or not.
"Milwaukee is one of those cities that we don't - a lot of people don't believe in sending them to a facility, so we want to take care of our own people, but it gets difficult and hard when you don't have the benefits and the funds," said Nilsa Vasquez, home care worker, SEIU.
The weeklong bus tour is making stops in seven different states.
