RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- If you want to see the process of wood carving starting with logs and finishing with a beautiful artistic object, then head to Racine's River Bent Nature Center for the annual Chainsaw Carving & Art Forest Festival happening on Sunday, Oct. 6.

Besides all the woodwork, there will be plenty of food, drink, music and also an art fair.

This free event lines up perfectly with the center's mission of providing environment educational and outdoor recreation for kids of all ages.  All the carvings will be auctioned off starting at 3 p.m. on Sunday. Earlier in the day, there will also be a fun tree climbing event for children at least 26 inches tall and between 30 and 100 pounds.
