MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Memorial Day weekend in Milwaukee offers a plethora of family events, so Joe Krauss from B93.3 joined us on Friday, May 26 to offer some highlights as part of CBS 58's Feel Good Fridays.
The Family Kite Festival returns for its 36th year on Saturday and Sunday, May 27 - 28, at Veterans Park. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, with no admission fee.
Several Memorial Day parades are also set for the weekend. Krauss will walk in the Elm Grove parade on Monday, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Elm Grove Village Park. Additional parades in Menomonee Falls and Sussex also start at 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., respectively, on Monday, May 29.
Main Street in downtown Menomonee Falls will host the Falls Memorial Fest, with live music, an art show, a car show,and more than 60 vendors. This event is free to the public.
Wisconsin's newest professional baseball team, The Lake Country DockHounds, will present the Summer Splash Weekend. Attendees can enjoy pro baseball and family-friendly activities for an admission fee ranging between $10 - $15.
Dan Jansen Fest at Konkel Park in Greenfield promises live music, rides, food and carnival games that now accept credit cards.
