CEDARBURG, Wis. (CBS 58) - A city-wide power outage in Cedarburg left thousands of residents and businesses without electricity Thursday, creating additional challenges as temperatures climbed into the upper 90s.
Among those impacted were local frozen custard shops, where the outage disrupted one of the busiest days of the summer.
"It's pretty bad," said Izzy Fyfe, a manager at Hefner's Frozen Custard. "Normally, people come here all the time and want to get their custard on a hot day. School's out, people want to come with their families and get lunch and it's been kind of hard."
According to the Cedarburg Light & Water Utility, power was fully restored across the city by 6:10 p.m. Thursday.
