MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating after a child was struck near 24th and North on Monday afternoon, Nov. 18. 

It happened just after 1:45 p.m. 

Police say a 13-year-old boy, ran into the street, was struck and transported to a local hospital for treatment. He suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. 

Officials say the driver who struck the child stayed at the scene. According to police, they had a valid license and was not driving recklessly.

The incident is under investigation.
