Season snow check as we head into a nice weekend
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Nobody wants to spend a holiday in the hospital, especially kids. But that doesn't mean you can't have some fun while you're there.
Children's Wisconsin has shown us before that they can bring the fun to kids and their families, and they did it again Tuesday.
"I really wanted to beef up what we do for the holidays, because so many of our families are missing out on those holiday traditions," said Special Events Coordinator Leslie Scott.
Members of the staff from many different departments created floats and costumes and paraded past kids and families.
For those kids who couldn't leave their room, they could watch on Zoom.
"I think this is such a great way for all of our staff to get in the festive spirit, and then also contribute to the joy on our patients' and families' faces," Scott said. "So, it's so awesome to see everybody come together."
This was just the first in a series of holiday events at Children's Wisconsin. Next up on Dec. 5 is a light parade and drone show that the kids can watch from their windows.
