Several chances for showers and storms this week

The pattern once again becomes active this week with a chance for unseasonably cool temperatures as a cold front arrives on Thursday.  Take a look at the picture above.  Cool air across central Canada will be on the move across the northern plains and Midwest over the next couple of days.

A weak boundary on Tuesday will fire up some isolated showers and storms between 1 pm and 4 pm.  They should fall apart with the setting of the sun.  Expect a 30% chance for some splash and dash rain.

The better chance for rain arrives ahead of the cold front.  Scattered showers an storms late Wednesday night through Thursday morning are expected.  Thursday should be dry with most of the daylight hours quiet.
