Coldest night of the season is expected

This has been an unusually warm start to meteorological fall.  So far, it's the warmest start to fall and October on record.  Overnight lows have been well above normal.

This morning Milwaukee dropped into the 40s for the first time since May 30th.  That's the longest stretch on record.  A clear sky and a light wind will allow most areas to fall into the upper 30s and lower 40s by Sunday morning.

Areas just to the west of the lake will easily drop into the upper 30s.  There are no frost advisories; however, a few spots could experience some patchy frost.  Milwaukee should stay in the lower 40s.

Normally, Milwaukee drops into the 30s around the first week of October.  The latest it's ever happened is the 5th of November.
