Comedian and musician Tim Heidecker brings abrasive comedy and poignant rock music to Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Many know comedian Tim Heidecker for a decorated career as one half of "Tim and Eric," the comedy duo featuring Eric Wareheim, but some may not be aware that Heidecker is also a highly acclaimed musician. Heidecker is getting ready to showcase both talents in Milwaukee for his "The Two Tims" tour.

The show will take place at Milwaukee's Turner Hall Ballroom on August 22. Tickets for the show will go on sale on March 24 at 10 a.m.

Heidecker, known for absurdist comedy on "Tim & Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!," "On Cinema" and appearances in films such as "Bridesmaids" aims to entertain the audience with two distinct acts: one as a bumbling comedian who parodies the worst traits of modern comics, the other, a bona fide musician accompanied by "The Very Good Band."

The tour follows two successful legs of his "No More Bulls**t" stand-up show, which featured more than 30 dates across the US and another round in the UK.

Be aware, the show features two distinct Tims, and it is all intentional.

Musically, Heidecker's latest full-length musical effort, an album titled "High School," was produced in collaboration with notable names in modern rock such as Kurt Vile, Drew Erickson, Eric D. Johnson and Mac DeMarco. It showcases Heidecker delving into new territory as a songwriter and performer, drawing on childhood experiences and the passing of youth.

When it comes to the "other" Tim, he takes to the stage to perform a self-aware-but-delusional brand of stand-up. This character shows Tim adopting a "truth-telling" persona bathed in a heavy dose of narcissism and aggression, contrasting sharply with his sincere and earnest musical performances.

The content is meant for mature audiences. More information about tickets can be found by clicking here.

For a taste of what to expect, see the following versions of Tim:

  • "Tim Heidecker," struggling comedian who intentionally relies on narcissism, misogyny and aggressively reminding the audience of how politically correct he isn't.
  • Tim Heidecker, acclaimed musician.
