MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- We are exactly one week away from Election Day and some voters are still undecided.

Tuesday night, a forum hosting Milwaukee's third district aldermanic candidates, Daniel Bauman and Alex Brower, allowed community members to learn more before they cast their ballots.

The topics discussed were reckless driving, the city's budget, affordable housing and more.

Both candidates say there needs to be more affordable housing in the district and more resources to support residents.

The two also say they want to see improvements in cracking down on reckless driving and making the district more pedestrian friendly.

When asked what the two disagree on, the two had this to say.

"I think it's really just the temperament and how we'll go in there and work with the current system," said Bauman.

"The things that I would point out as a difference is just the record that I am bringing to this of organizing the community, organizing mass movements," said Brower.

Brower stated he wants We Energies replaced with public utility, while Bauman says that would be a massive undertaking and there are other important issues to focus on.

The winner of Tuesday's election will fill the remainder of the term for former third district alderman Jonathan Brostoff who died back in November.

Voters in attendance tell us who they choose to vote for in this race isn't a decision they are making lightly.

"The position of alderman or alderperson is, you know, they speak for us," said Cate Deicher, a district three resident. "They bring our concerns to the table, so it’s really important to me to understand who I’m voting for.”

In the primary back in February, just 46 votes separated these two candidates.
