Sheboygan Falls assistant fire chief arrested, charged with sexually assaulting child

SHEBOYGAN FALLS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Sheboygan Falls assistant fire chief is being charged for sexually assaulting a child. 

According to a criminal complaint, 45-year-old John Albright is facing a charge of second-degree sexual assault of a child under 16 years of age. 

On Wednesday, Sept. 11 officials reported that a detective was assigned to a prior sexual assault case that occurred in Sheboygan Falls in 2008 or 2009. 

Detectives contacted the now 31-year-old victim. He reported that when he was 13 or 14, he lived a few doors down from Albright. He reportedly said Albright hosted a party at the end of the summer, and he helped babysit Albright's daughter for a little while before being escorted back to the party. 

During the walk, the victim said Albright asked him inappropriate questions and touched him inappropriately. The victim said Albright, "could tell he was uncomfortable." 

While in an alley of Michigan Street, the victim said Albright sexually assaulted the victim. Albright allegedly said it was a misunderstanding, and the victim said he seemed panicked afterwords. According to the complaint, the victim said Albright seemed buzzed from alcohol consumption.

A judge set a $150,000 bond for Albright and ordered he have no contact with anyone under 18.
