Traffic calming reconstruction project begins on National Avenue
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A national organization called Concerns of Police Survivors or C.O.P.S. helps police officers and the family of fallen officers heal.
A retired Milwaukee Police Officer is involved in the organization. He lost his partner while on duty in the 1970's.
He's now helping hundreds of officers who are dealing with things like grief and survivors guilt.
"You just need some of the resources that we can provide to put into your toolbox so you can get back to work and do a better job tomorrow," said Patrick Monaghan, a Peer Support Counselor with C.O.P.S.
