SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A walk on a beautiful day turned deadly when a minivan jumped the curb in Sheboygan, striking a group of pedestrians -- including a mom and her young children. A four-year-old girl was killed.

Heartbreak in Sheboygan -- a memorial at the corner of 21st and Saemann's growing for four-year-old Cordelia Kuether.

"That little girl she just started her life and it's gone," said neighbor Kayla Ortigoza.

"They were just out for a walk, enjoying the weather. I think there was another citizen walking a dog and they were talking with that person and petting the dog," said Sheboygan Police Lt. Mike Stelter.

With the sun out at 5 p.m. Wednesday, neighbors heard screeching tires when a minivan and a pickup truck crashed.

The pickup truck had this stop sign at 21st. An eastbound minivan had none on Saemann. Both hit hard at this intersection, the minivan jumping the curb and you can see where it hit this tree.

"Like I said it was an eerie feeling. I think everyone was in complete disbelief," said witness John Lindle.

John Lindle called 911 and provided dispatch the details they needed about the girl.

"I held my hand over her mouth and I let dispatch know she wasn't breathing. So, they needed to get there so as soon as they could," said Lindle.

"Upon arriving on scene there was a young child with severe injuries on the ground," said Lt. Stelter.

The driver of the pickup truck's a 23-year-old Sheboygan man, the minivan driver, a 76-year-old Sheboygan woman.

"There's no indication of any type of speeding at this time or reckless driving, malicious behavior. It also does not appear that there was any type of impairment," said Lt. Stelter.

Police say the child's mom and younger sister received minor injuries -- scrapes and bruises. Another child along for the walk was not hurt. There's a GoFundMe to help with burial costs for this little girl gone too soon.
