Crime Stoppers: $25K reward for information in murder of teen found dead in vacant home 3 years ago
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Because of a generous donation, there is now a $25,000 reward for anyone who submits an anonymous tip to Milwaukee Crime Stoppers that solves a Milwaukee teenager's murder.
Shaun Dorsey was 16 years old when police say someone found him dead inside of an abandoned home three years ago.
His mother says she dropped him off at a friend's house near 47th and Marion in the Parklawn neighborhood. When she came back later that evening to pick him up, he wasn't there.
Dorsey said she spent three days calling, texting, driving around and searching for her son. Internet chatter from his friends led police to find him dead inside of a vacant home three days later.
Now, Attorney Michael Hupy says it's time for those friends to come forward anonymously and solve the case with information that will lead police to make an arrest.
"Like almost every other crime, there's a ripple effect. His family is very upset about what happened, very upset about it not being solved, and it's something they can't forget," Hupy said. "When your relatives or friends or spouses are victims of a murder, this is lifelong torture. And if we can solve the crime, we can bring some semblance of relief to the family."
Hupy says he will commit $100,000 to solving murders in Milwaukee. He will do this by attaching $25,000 to one murder case every month for the rest of 2025 so people will come forward and help solve these crimes.
If you know anything about how Shaun Dorsey was killed, you can submit a tip by calling 414-224-8477 or download the P3 Tips app and submit a tip there. When you submit a tip anonymously, your number is scrambled, you don't give any personal or contact information, and you pick up the cash at a secret location.
