MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- For less than $200, a man is now facing criminal charges.
Take a close look at the photos from surveillance video at the Speedway on 13th and College Avenue. This happened on July 24.
Milwaukee police say the man pictured walked into the gas station, demanded money from the cashier and threatened to shoot her if he didn't get it.
As he reached for what appears to be a pistol, the cashier emptied the register, put the cash on the counter, then walked out slowly -ultimately driving away in a gray 2006-2008 Chevy Malibu.
"What's unique about this case to me is the time of day, it's really a busy time of day and the suspect had really no reservations of committing an armed robbery of a business at 430 in the afternoon at peak rush hour," said MPD Detective Jack Kelly. "Based on the boots and how dirty his jeans are, looks like this guy was working somewhere and might have just seen the opportunity. The victim was an elderly female. Maybe he walked in, saw he was alone in the store with her and decided to try it out."
Detective Kelly says the suspect is a white male, tall, and had long hair sticking out of the back of his mask.
If you recognize this man or know anything about this case, call Milwaukee Crime Stoppers at 414-224-8477.
