ST. FRANCIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 33-year-old Milwaukee man is accused of killing a woman he had been stalking for several months. Investigators say the victim, Kiana Pliska, had filed for a restraining order against the accused shooter, Randall Lenyard Sr., the same day she was killed. 

Pliska, 32, was shot and killed outside the Lake Park Apartments in St. Francis on July 16.

According to a criminal complaint, Lenyard had reportedly been stalking Pliska for months. Pliska filed for a temporary restraining order against Lenyard on July 16, where she alleged several incidences of stalking including times he had showed up at her residence, delivered flowers, called her repeatedly, and placed an AirTag tracker on her car. In the petition, Pliska also reported she was "scared of what he is going to do next." 

The criminal complaint states Pliska and Lenyard had a child custody arrangement involving seven days alternating with each other that typically began on Thursday nights. The two met at their old residence, the Lake Park Apartments, for the exchange when the shooting happened. 

Investigators interviewed Lenyard and, according to the criminal complaint, he admitted to shooting Pliska. Lenyard told authorities he and Pliska were arguing and he shot her. Lenyard stated, per the complaint, he did not know if he "shot twice or once, but I shot" as she was in his vehicle. Pliska reportedly attempted to run but Lenyard continued shooting. 

Lenyard is due in court for a preliminary hearing on July 22.
