MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- For regular customers to the Starbucks at 56th and Capitol, barriers blocking off the parking lot that say "DT Only" and a sign on the door that says, "Something went wrong..." have altered their coffee routine.

"It’s operating as a drive-thru only, and you can pick up mobile orders through the drive-thru," said customer Samantha Riddle.

"I had a meeting, so I was kind of inconvenienced when I came and the door wasn't open," said Larissa Anthony.

An employee at the Starbucks told CBS 58 to contact the Starbucks media line. Our multiple emails and calls to the Starbucks media email and phone number have not been returned, but customers have been told the inside is closed to customers because of robberies.

"It was like a couple weeks ago, because I saw those signs there and I'm like, nobody's able to get in through the lobby, so when we came through the drive-thru, they know us, so they're like, 'We just got robbed today,' and I'm like, 'That's terrible,'" said customer Sharlet Houston.

According to the Milwaukee Police Department, the Starbucks was robbed on April 14 and August 26.

The robbery in April happened at 12:30 p.m. A suspect walked into the Starbucks toward the cashier and demanded money. The suspect took the bag and left the store. No one was injured during the robbery.

Police say the robbery on August 26 happened at 12:10 p.m. Two suspects went into the coffee shop. One had a handgun and demanded money. The suspects got money and left the Starbucks. No one was injured in that robbery.

MPD says they are still looking for the suspects.

To the suspects, a request from a regular customer:

"Just stop," said Sharlet Houston, "You're messing it up for the whole community, and a lot of people just want to get their coffee and be safe and go about their day."
