Data usage at Summerfest 2018 up almost 33% compared to last year

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – U.S. Cellular says data usage on the Summerfest grounds for the 2018 festival was almost 33% more than last year. Through the tower on the Summerfest grounds there were over 19.8 million LTE data connections. 9.2 terabytes of data were downloaded and uploaded.
The busiest day for data usage was opening day, Wednesday, June 27.
For comparison, when no events are happening the tower at the Summerfest grounds handles about 35,000 data connections and 12.9 GB of data.
