American journalist abducted in Iraq grew up in Wisconsin
WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- Wisconsin's Department of Health Services (DHS) is traveling the state, honoring the frontline health care workers who've spent two years fighting Covid-19.
The "Thank You Tour" stopped in Milwaukee Tuesday, March 22.
Several organizations and their workers were recognized for providing vaccinations and testing to the public.
"We did this work because it needed to get done," said Ericka Sinclair, CEO of Health Connections. "We do this work because it's where our hearts are and the community is where we live."
"We have all experienced the stress, the trauma, the loss of the last two years," said Karen Timberlake, DHS secretary-designee. "And I think what you are hearing and experiencing in this room is the great desire to celebrate."
