MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) announced their elk harvest quotas for the 2024 hunting season.
The Clam Lake Elk Range in northern Wisconsin will allow for an eight-bull harvest, while the Black River Zone in central Wisconsin will allow for four.
This will be the first ever elk hunting season allowed within the Black River Zone.
The DNR dedicated years to restoration efforts in order to increase elk populations across the state.
