DNR: Bird flu detected in Milwaukee County

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Wisconsin DNR confirmed that bird flu has been found in Milwaukee County.

Testing shows the virus was found in a dead bird that was sent to a Dane County lab last week.

Milwaukee is just the latest Wisconsin county to be added to the list of positive cases.

The overall threat to people is still low, but the DNR says you and your pets should stay away from any sick or dead birds that you come across.
