Domestic Violence suspect arrested inside closed West Bend business

WEST BEND, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A domestic violence suspect was arrested by police after fleeing from an incident and entering a downtown West Bend business.

According to police, a woman called police around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday to report a domestic violence incident involving her boyfriend. The woman told police that her boyfriend took her car, fled the scene, and was possibly headed towards a business downtown.

West Bend Police made contact with the suspect by phone who confirmed that he was at a closed business alone, but he refused to come out.

According to police, the suspect had a previous domestic violence arrest was out on bail for that incident.

The West Bend Special Response Team assisted and the suspect was taken into custody without incident.

There were no injuries reported.

The suspect was arrested for Disorderly Conduct-Domestic Violence and Bail Jumping.

The incident remains under investigation.
