Drying out briefly after a soggy start to the work week

Clouds are decreasing today across SE WI after a solid 1-2" of rain fell Monday through Tuesday.

This latest round of rain has pushed Milwaukee's rain total this month to nearly five inches! This is currently our 6th wettest March on record.

Dry weather is expected today through Friday afternoon, but an area of showers will likely develop late Friday evening and continue into early Saturday morning.

We'll also get a break from the strong winds for a couple of days. Wind gusts stay between 20-30 mph this afternoon but will calm down after sunset. A few 20 mph wind gusts are possible Thursday afternoon but will continue to calm down on Friday.

There are rain chances this Easter weekend, but it will be dry for the most part. Showers end early Saturday morning and we'll likely stay dry until Sunday evening.
