Employee arrested for child abuse at Kewaskum learning center

KEWASKUM, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 20-year-old employee of a Kewaskum learning center was arrested for child abuse, according to the Kewaskum Police Department. 

On July 23rd, Kewaskum police received information in regard to possible physical abuse that occurred at Forever Friend's Learning Center in Kewaskum. The owner agreed to a voluntary closure of the facility while the investigation was ongoing, according to police.  

After the investigation, police say they arrested a 20-year-old female employee and requested charges to the Washington County District Attorney's Office. The charges are two counts of physical abuse of a child, and two counts of failure to report abuse. 

The police are also requesting charges on the owner of the learning center for failure to report abuse.
