EPA: $143 million will go toward Wisconsin water infrastructure in 2022

WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- Less than three weeks ago, President Biden signed the trillion-dollar infrastructure bill into law with the promise that the money will help repair and replace aging and crumbling systems.

Now we know how some of that money will be used in Wisconsin.

The EPA says $143 million is coming to Wisconsin for water projects in 2022.

The money will go toward upgrading Wisconsin's water infrastructure and it will address challenges like lead in drinking water and other environmental issues that affect underserved communities.
