Midtown Grill: Even breakfast/lunch restaurants to serve up the popular Friday Fish Fry

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- For Midtown Grill in Wauwatosa, it's usually all about breakfast and lunch. 

"Pancakes, waffles, French toast, and then of course we do the fish fry," said Carlos Shearer. On Fridays, starting at 4 p.m., Midtown Grill serves the classic Wisconsin favorite- from perch to cod, fries to potato pancakes. 

"It's like almost a tradition in Wisconsin, and every Friday it's like a lot of people go out for fish. So, we decided it's a good idea to open on Fridays, only at night, for fish fry," said Shearer. 

The beer batter is made in-house at Midtown, and all of the fish is hand breaded and fried to order. 

Midtown Grill also makes cod tacos for those looking to change up their usual fish fry menu.
