NOW: Extreme Cold Warning extended in parts of our area. Wind chills improve Saturday!
NEXT:

Dangerous wind chills remain across southeastern Wisconsin on Saturday morning.  Thankfully the winds will relax tonight; however, with subzero temperatures it doesn't take much for the wind chill to drop between -20 to -30!

If you are looking for a silver lining, we have found one for Saturday afternoon!  Winds will be fairly light and variable, so wind chills won't be as extreme.

1pm Update: The time of the Extreme Cold Warning has expired. However, the National Weather Service has now extended the warning for counties north of Milwaukee until 6am Saturday. That sneaky midnight temp threw a monkey wrench in our forecast. So later in life when we are paging through climate stats, as one does, this day will go down with a high of 3 degrees!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Our Extreme Cold Warning is now officially in effect and will be here until tomorrow at 6am.  After that, this warning will turn into an advisory until Saturday at noon as temperatures are expected to stay frigid.  We have not had a wind chill above 0 degrees since last night and will not again until Sunday afternoon.

Temperatures are anywhere from 10 to 20 degrees below zero to begin today, and that paired with wind gusts up to 30mph out of the northwest allowed for feels like temps to hold anywhere from 30 to 40 degrees below!

Cold air and gusty winds will hold all afternoon and while high temperatures will return to about 5 below for many, feels like temperatures will stay anywhere from 25 to 35 degrees below zero all day.

Stay safe and warm!
