Family confirms Kenosha County law enforcement official died from COVID-19

KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) - CBS 58 has confirmed a local corrections officer has died after contracting COVID-19.
Kenosha County Corporal Christopher Basina died Friday, Oct. 8 from COVID-19, according to his family.
The veteran served Kenosha County for 23 years.
His funeral is being planned for Monday, October 18.
COVID-19 continues to be the leading cause of death for law enforcement.
