MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office tells CBS 58 no charges will be filed against the driver who hit a family of four outside Fiserv Forum and drove off.

The DA said investigators were unable to determine who was driving the vehicle at the time of the crash.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A victim of a hit-and-run outside Fiserv Forum says she's learned she won't get justice.

Danielle Eager says the driver who hit her family and then drove off will not face charges. She says the DA broke the news to her on Wednesday, Dec. 18.

"The fact that they were in the car, they know what they did and drive off and not to be charged with anything is what makes me so upset," she said.

Eager, her husband and two kids had just left Fiserv Forum back in November when a car hit them and drove off. Police eventually tracked down two suspects.

But even with all that, the one thing investigators don't have is who was behind the wheel.

"They couldn't pinpoint which person was the actual driver, so they did not have enough evidence to charge anyone with that."

Eager says the DA told her for that reason, they have to cut them loose.

"I don't understand how they are getting away with this kind of crime," she said. "I mean it's ridiculous. I understand no one got killed, but that's beside the point."

It's hard for a family that has been through something traumatic. All four were sent to the hospital.

The family has mostly healed, but the effect on the kids hasn't gone away.

"They don't even like going into parking lots anymore, they have issues with walking down the road. The whole fear for their safety."

CBS 58 reached out to the District Attorney's Office to confirm the charges were dropped. We have not heard back.
