(OCONOMOWOC) - Earlier this month, Japan marked 74 years since atomic bombs were dropped on two cities including Nagasaki where the mayor called on Japan's government to join a United Nations treaty on banning nuclear weapons.
The annual observance is especially meaningful for a local World War Two veteran now sharing possessions collected during his service to country, including time spent in Nagasaki days after the nuclear blast changed the course of world history.
On CBS 58 Sunday Morning, Shirley Descorbeth shared Ken Groenke’s letters from Nagasaki.
