Fans left without answers after concert at Landmark Credit Union Live ends mid-show

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee music fans are still wondering what caused a weekend concert at one of the city's newest venues to end without warning or explanation.

"The lights came on, the smoke alarms started going off, and then people were not really told what to do at all," attendee Justin Buschmann said.

Buschmann was in the crowd at Landmark Credit Union Live Saturday when one of the headline acts, metal band Dethklok, stopped playing. Video taken inside the hall shows a haze in the air leading to speculation that fog machines may have triggered the smoke alarms, but there's been no explanation and the concert never restarted.

The fire department responded just after 10 p.m. and found no fire. The incident has left people who were at the show confused and disappointed.

"Just like, the lack of response, like the inaction from the staff was a little alarming," attendee Emil Flores Farley said. "Because, you know, like nobody was really - I think I saw one staff person actually running. For a new venue to kinda have a misstep like that so early in their career as a venue is very disheartening."

The Landmark venue just opened at the end of February. They're promising a review of Saturday's incident.

Live Nation is promising full refunds to those who went to the Dethklok show.
