(CBS 58) -- September is National Preparedness Month and FEMA is urging people to plan ahead for disasters.
The goal of the month is to promote family and community disaster planning now and throughout the year.
This year's theme is: 'Disasters don't wait. Make your plan today.'
FEMA has advice and information on its website for the best ways to help your family prepare for the unexpected.
