Tornado Warnings expired, Storms are exiting shortly
7:50pm
The line of severe storms is on its way out of southeast Wisconsin. At this time the Watch has been chopped down to just our far soutnern counties. Once the line crosses these counties the storm threat will be over for the night.
7:40pm
At this time just Racine county remains under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning, until 7:45pm. But head's up Kenosha county and southern parts of Walworth county this is headed your way. Main threats as of now are gusty wind and torrential rain.
This line of storms continues to work southeast at 35 mph.
7:20 p.m. update: Tornado Warnings in SE Wisconsin have been canceled.
6:15 p.m. update:
We were briefly on continuous coverage for a Tornado Warning impacting western Dodge County. The rotation for now has weakened. That said, we still have multiple counties under Severe Thunderstorm Warnings.
The radar continues to show active conditions now.

Mid-Afternoon Update:
There's a Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect until 10 PM for most of the area except Milwaukee, Racine, and Kenosha Counties. A few storms are on the radar, mainly north and west of the metro. But more are expected into the evening, some strong to severe. Stay tuned to CBS 58 on air and online for the latest weather developments.

Midday Update:
We now have a Slight risk of severe storms this afternoon and evening with the exception of the northern tier of the viewing area. Hail, damaging wind, and heavy rain are all possible. Quiet on the radar now, but this will change after 2 PM. Storms should exit by late this evening. CBS 58 is watching the weather situation carefully and will keep you updated on air and online throughout the day.

The next chance for rain is here. An isolated shower is possible Tuesday morning along a broken line of showers that moved across the state Monday night. Most of those showers are dissipating as they move into our local area but a few sprinkles or isolated showers cannot be ruled out through the late morning hours. Otherwise, most of us should stay dry until after 2 or 3 PM when the chance for showers and storms increases and stays with us through the evening.
Widespread severe weather is not expected, in fact some areas may stay totally dry Tuesday. Any storms that do form Tuesday afternoon and evening do have the possibility to be on the stronger side with gusty wind and small hail. The southern half of Wisconsin, including all of southeast Wisconsin, is included in the Level 1 Marginal risk for severe storms.
After the chance for storms Tuesday afternoon and evening, Wednesday and Thursday look mostly dry. Any storms that do form Tuesday should end before midnight. An isolated lingering shower cannot be ruled out Wednesday morning and Thursday could also see an isolated sprinkle.
