Fire at Milwaukee restaurant leads to extensive damage

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A fire broke out at Shark's Fish and Chicken, located near 60th and Villard in Milwaukee, causing significant damage to the building, according to the Milwaukee Fire Dept.

MFD tells CBS 58 that they responded early Monday to the fire, which initially began inside the restaurant. Officials also note that the structure might not be salvageable due to the extent of the damage.

Firefighters initially combated the flames from the outside before containing the fire and moving indoors to extinguish it.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, and the department's fire investigation team has taken over to determine the origin.

No injuries have been reported, according to officials, and there were also no sightings of anyone from the restaurant during the incident.
