Flags ordered to half-staff to honor Justice David Prosser
MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Gov. Tony Evers has ordered flags to fly at half-staff Saturday, Dec. 14 in honor of former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice David Prosser, who died Dec. 1 at the age of 81.
Justice Prosser served on the Wisconsin Supreme Court for 18 years following an extensive career in public service, including roles as Outagamie County district attorney, Wisconsin state legislator and Speaker of the Assembly. He retired in 2016.
In a statement, Gov. Evers said, "His career was unique -- he did a little bit of everything -- and he spent much of his life seeking new and more impactful ways that he could make a difference in our state."
Services for Justice Prosser will be held Saturday in Appleton. Executive Order #247 will remain in effect from sunrise to sunset.
