Forbes values Milwaukee Brewers over $1 billion
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Forbes has released a ranking of every MLB team and their value. For the 21st straight year since Forbes released the valuations, the New York Yankess have led the list. They are now with $4 billion.
The teams that rank last in revenue are two teams out of Florida, the Miami Marlins and Tampa Bay Rays with $219 million revenue.
The top five teams are Yankees, Dodgers, Cubs, Giants, and Red Sox.
Out of the 30 MLB clubs, the Milwaukee Brewers rank towards the bottom at number 25 with a valuation of $1.03 billion. According to Forbes, the Brewers have a yearly revenue of $255 million.
This is the first time the Brewers have been valued over $1 billion.
Forbes says attendance at Miller Park grew 11 percent in 2017 over 2016 and the ratings on FS Wisconsin increased 35 percent.
