Four dead, two injured in two separate incidents involving three different aircraft at EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh
OSHKOSH, Wis (CBS 58) -- Four people are dead and two are injured in two separate incidents that involved three different aircraft during the EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh.
The first crash happened just after 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 29.
Officials said they received multiple 911 calls for a plane that had crashed into Lake Winnebago.
According to the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department and the U.S. Coast Guard, several agencies immediately responded and began an emergency rescue.
The U.S. Coast Guard confirmed the plane that went down is a T-6 Texan. Two people were on board.
A FlightAware flightpath shows a T-6 taking off in Oshkosh before going down in the lake just five minutes later.
A tweet from the U.S. Coast Guard Great Lakes said divers recovered one "unresponsive" person. They are still searching for the other person on board, as well as the plane.

The second crash happened just before 12:30 p.m., also on July 29.
Winnebago County Sheriff's officials confirm two were killed and two others were injured, after a mid-air accident that involved a Rotorway 162F helicopter and an ELA 10 Eclipse gyrocopter.
The incident involved the two aircraft "at the south end of the EAA AirVenture flightline at Wittman Regional Airport," a news release said.
The two injured were taken to a local hospital and are stable.
Officials are still investigating both incidents.
There have been five EAA-related crashes so far this year. The event wraps up on Sunday, July 30.
