MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Fire Department and West Bend Fire Department honored four individuals who helped save the life of West Bend Alderman Mark Allen after he collapsed from a heart attack.

Allen suffered the heart attack on Saturday, Aug. 17 at a Revitalize Milwaukee event. Barb Charlton, Greg Lyons, Amy Zielke and Robert Prange administered CPR before firefighters arrived.

"To the four heroes who stepped out of what they thought they were going to be doing that day and stepped in to save the good alderman’s life, that’s inspiring," said Chief Aaron Lipski of MFD during the Monday, Oct. 7 honoring.

"Without these four individuals and the professionalism of the firemen you see over here to the right, I wouldn’t be here," Allen said.

First responders from Milwaukee Fire’s Engine 30 and Med 5 were also honored for their quick response and medical assistance.
