Franklin man crossing street struck and killed Sunday morning

An early morning accident has claimed the life of a 25-year-old Franklin man.   According to a news release from the Franklin Police, the man was on foot and  crossing S 27th Street at W Southland Drive around 2:45 AM Sunday when he was struck by a car driven by a 26-year-old Milwaukee man.   The 25-year-old pedestrian died at the scene, despite the efforts of the Franklin Fire Department.   The driver of the automobile stayed at the scene of the accident.   The identity of the Franklin man has not been released.  The Franklin Police and the Wisconsin State Patrol are investigating  the accident.
