Franklin police involved in multi-hour standoff with armed man near Thorncrest and Sherwood

FRANKLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Franklin police officers responded to a residence near Thorncrest and Sherwood for a 911 call of a domestic violence incident around 10 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7.
Officers reportedly encountered a man to be armed with a handgun who ran from the residence, entered a nearby vehicle, and refused to exit.
After several hours of negotiations, the 34-year-old man from Pennsylvania was taken into custody without further incident.
Charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office at a later date.
