MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The gates for the 51st edition of Summerfest opened promptly at noon with some fans getting there to wait in line as early as 8 a.m.
Those early fans say they pass the time before the headlining concerts by playing cards and eating.
New this year, backpacks are not allowed on the festival grounds. Small purses and bags no bigger than 9" by 10" by 12" are allowed.
