Get to know the Badgers football 2022 recruiting class: DL Tristan Monday

MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The next player is Arizona's Tristan Monday. The Badgers got Monday to flip from Arizona. According to Evan Flood of 247 Sports, Arizona recruited Monday as a linebacker. However, at Wisconsin, he will play on the defensive line.

The Badgers have a talented defensive line room. They are without Matt Henningsen up front, but having talented players like Monday coming in will help immensely.

Player Summary:

Versatility is one word to describe Tristan Monday. He was recruited by the Badgers to play defensive end.

In an interview with Evan Flood of 247 Sports, Monday mentioned that Wisconsin came into the mix early in his recruiting process. He was initially committed to the University of Arizona, but eventually decommitted and came to play for Paul Chryst and the Badgers.

The defensive line room at Wisconsin is fairly deep -- headlined by highly anticipated defensive line 2023 NFL Draft prospect Keeanu Benton.

Standing at 6-foot-4 and 240 pounds, Monday is quick and explosive. Even when a play may seem out of reach for him, you will still sometimes see Monday make tackles out of nowhere.

Monday joins a defensive front that has loads of potential. They are without Matt Henningsen in their defensive line room, but with the duo of Benton and Isaiah Mullens, along with talented players like Monday coming in, it's pretty fair to say the defensive line room is in good hands.
