MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Governor Tony Evers was in Milwaukee Monday, April 24, to highlight children's mental and behavioral health services in Wisconsin.
Monday afternoon, the governor toured the Craig Yabuki Mental Health Walk-in Clinic at Children's Hospital.
Officials say the facility provides same-day care for children and teens from ages five-18.
Last August, Gov. Evers provided $5 million to Children's Wisconsin to expand the Milwaukee Mental Health Walk-in Clinic.
"The complexity of it is just extraordinary, and Children's is a place where they can do their best to minimize those complexities, get the treatment that the kids need to have successful lives," Evers said.
Gov. Evers also highlighted his 2023-2025 budget proposal to invest around $500 million to support mental and behavioral health services across Wisconsin.
