Green Tree Prep Academy School safety officer allegedly attacked by woman and students

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A woman has been arrested and charged after she allegedly attacked a school staff safety officer at Green Tree Prep Academy Friday, Feb. 13. 

Officers say that they responded to the school located along N. 53rd St. around 3:35 p.m. for a report of a battery in progress. 

According to the complaint, a school staff safety officer told a student in the hallway that she wasn't allowed to use her phone during school hours. The student became disrespectful and threatened to call people to the location. 

Eventually, staff safety members moved to the lower level of the school to monitor the main exit for school dismissal. The complaint states that 33-year-old Yesheva Daniels came into the building and confronted the safety officer and started to punch her. 

Prosecutors say that the student previously told she wasn't allowed to use her phone along with two other students joined in on the assault and started to punch and hit the safety officer. Other safety officers attempted to break up the fight and were also hit. 

According to the complaint, Daniels told the safety officers that she was "fixin to come back and shoot this motherf***** up." 

Daniels has been charged with two counts of battery as a party to a crime and one count of terrorist threats. 

Milwaukee Public Schools released a statement to about the incident, explaining the situation and that Daniels has been issued a no-trespass order and that she is no longer allowed on school grounds.
