Greendale police to increase patrol hours at Southridge Mall

GREENDALE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Greendale police are planning to increase officer patrol hours at Southridge Mall, both inside and in the parking lot.

It's something they've done in past holiday seasons. 

The difference this year is that the extra patrols will continue "until further notice."

They're also recommending that shoppers park in well-lit areas close to their destination, avoid distractions while walking, and they advise against leaving valuables in plain view inside vehicles.
