Greenfield driver sentenced to 8 years in prison after fatal Milwaukee pedestrian crash

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 25-year-old Greenfield woman was sentenced on Thursday, March 20, for a fatal crash that happened in July.
Alma Espino was sentenced to 8 years in prison.
According to a criminal complaint, Espino's car was traveling south on N. Swan when it left the roadway, struck a fence and then hit a pedestrian who was standing at a bus stop. After hitting the victim, the car flipped multiple times and collided with several other cars. The struck pedestrian suffered a severe head injury and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The complaint said Espino was driving under the influence with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.163%, higher than Wisconsin's driving limit of 0.08%.
Court records show that Espino entered a guilty plea in February.
